Standing and mat work Pilates workout

We start today’s class in standing and work on our hip control and glute strength.

We roll down from standing into press up position for further exercises before moving onto our backs to challenge our core muscles and hip control.

Then, on our sides, we reflect the glute strengthening movements we did in standing. Finishing with some leg and upper body stretches.

    Really enjoyed the class. It wasn’t too difficult but still enough for me today. I have been doing Pilates for years at my local leisure centre but due to self isolation due to health issues I haven’t been and they are now all cancelled for the foreseeable future. Hope I can do some more with you.

    While the gym is closed and I can’t go to pilates classes this will keep me going on the same type of session as I usually do. Is the video always the same or do you vary the exercises from time to time?

    I really enjoy this class, thank you.
    During lockdown I have been doing 3-4 classes with my usual Pilates teacher via zoom,and 3-4 classes a week with you using a mix of your videos, as has my husband.

    I think this class is my favourite – I find the clam exercise very difficult (more so on the right side) which tells me it’s something I need to do more of! This class leaves my hips, bum and thighs really feeling like they’ve worked hard, which makes me feel good. Thanks Vicky.

    Fantastic series of classes through January, thank you so much. I’m managing to keep up with X3 classes a week which would be impossible if I were travelling to a studio for classes. Huge thanks.
