Leg stretch and strengthen
Get your legs working with this standing and mat work class
This is a mat based class focusing on strengthening and stretching through our legs as well as engaging through our core. This class includes:
- Standing side plié
- Heel raises with chest openings
- Downward dog with calf stretches
- Plank with hamstring curls
- Side lying leg lifts
- Side kicks
- Glute and hamstrung stretches
This class begins in standing warming up through the body with some chest openings and heel raises. Working our legs with side plies and lunges before rolling down into a downward dog position to stretch out our calf muscles.
We then continue in four point kneeling with a plank exercises adding in some hamstring curls. Moving down into four point kneeling we challenge our leg control and glute muscles with a side kick movement and leg lift as well as some inner thigh pulses. Not our backs we continue to work our leg muscles as well as our core with bridging and cycling exercises.
Finishing the class on the mat stretching out our legs and lower back.
