Mat-based class working throughout the body

The class begins with a warm up in standing then moves down onto the mat on our backs and sides. As always work to a level that you feel safe and comfortable to do.
This class includes:
- Standing toy soldier
- Heel raises
- Standing Scissors with combined hip twist
- Side plie squats
- Roll downs
- One leg stretch
- Arm scissors
- Bridging with combined abdo prep
- Oblique prep
- Side lying one leg circle
- Arm openings
- Opposite arm and leg stretch
- Glute and hamstring muscle stretches
- Sitting mermaid stretch
We begin the class in standing and warm up our arms and legs with a toy soldier movement. Then continue to challenge our balance and leg control with some heels raises, standing scissors and combined hip twist and side plie squats. We then roll down onto our backs to continue the class.
On our backs we engage and challenge our core muscles with a one leg stretch, arm scissors and Bridging. Bringing in some more abdominal muscle strengthening with some oblique preps. Moving onto our sides we strengthen our glute muscles with a one leg circle and clam movement. We then cool down and lengthen the body with an opposite arm and leg stretch. Finishing with some leg stretches on our backs and some gentle stretches in sitting.
